Joe Jonas comparte algunos detalles de su viaje a África

Hola Hola a todos,




Sorry I have been out of touch for a while but here is what I have been up to over the last few weeks. I would like to tell you a little bit about what I have been doing. Me gustaría contarles un poco acerca de lo que he estado haciendo.



I have seen some amazing things, met some wonderful people, tried some tasty foods, and been inches from HUGE lions. He visto cosas increíbles, conocido a gente maravillosa, trató de algunos alimentos sabrosos, y ha sido pulgadas de enormes leones. I have also experienced new cultures like I have never seen before. My journey began in Maun, Botswana, Africa. Mi viaje comenzó en Maun, Botswana, África. I brought some of my best friends with me to be a part of this incredible experience. He traído algunos de mis mejores amigos conmigo para ser parte de esta increíble experiencia. We were all changed by what we saw. Nos cambió todo por lo que vimos.



I was able to spend time with many kids and teens that go to school there. Tuve la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con muchos niños y adolescentes que van a la escuela. Their schools do not have the room to take care of this many people. Sus escuelas no tienen el espacio para cuidar de esta gente. Some of the classes had hundreds of kids in rooms smaller than most living rooms in the US. I tested out my football skills (soccer in the US). He probado mi habilidades de fútbol (soccer en los EE.UU.). We also played songs without by brothers. También jugamos canciones sin los hermanos. Felt strange to sing without my brothers but many of the people knew the songs, which surprised me considering that many do not have TV or radio. I also spent time with some of the babies that were born to mothers carrying the HIV AIDS virus. También pasó un tiempo con algunos de los bebés que nacieron de madres portadoras del virus VIH del SIDA. Out of the entire trip this was one of the most touching moments. One of the most powerful things to see is the joy the people had with so little material things in their lives. Una de las cosas más de gran alcance a ver es la alegría de la gente tenía con las cosas materiales tan poco en sus vidas. They were happy. Eran felices. Some without homes or bathrooms were still happy and wonderful to be with. Algunos, sin casas o cuartos de baño estaban disfrutando y maravilloso estar con ella. It makes you think about your own life and the things you have. Te hace pensar sobre tu propia vida y las cosas que tienes. These people might not have a bed to sleep on but are still happy with their lives. Estas personas pueden no tener una cama para dormir, pero aún están felices con sus vidas.



We went to a couple villages where there were 7 kids with one mother in a home made out of clay and soda bottles. Fuimos a un par de aldeas donde había siete niños con una madre en una casa hecha de barro y botellas de soda. We were able to bring them blankets to stay warm because the nights were so cold. Hemos sido capaces de llevarlos mantas para mantener el calor, porque las noches eran muy frías.



We all stayed in big tents while we were there with hot water bottles for our feet because it was so cold. Outside we could hear the sounds of monkeys climbing on the tent and Hippos close by every night. Fuera se oían los sonidos de los monos se suban a la tienda y cerca de hipopótamos por cada noche.



We also went on a couple safaris – a walking safari, horseback safari, and a land rover off-road safari where you are inches from deadly animals. Occasionally we made our safari guide mad by asking where Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King lived. De vez en cuando hicimos nuestra guía de safari loco pidiendo que Timón y Pumba de El rey león vivía.



I was asked while I was there if I would be a part of an event where kids were taught to respect themselves, others, and your environment. Me preguntó mientras yo estaba allí si quería ser parte de un evento donde los niños se les enseña a respetarse a sí mismos, los demás y su entorno. Prince William was the main guest and we spent a lot of time together. Príncipe William fue el invitado principal y pasamos mucho tiempo juntos. It was an honor to get to know him and I look forward to getting to see him again soon. Fue un honor conocerlo y espero llegar a verlo de nuevo pronto.



For the future, I plan on going back to Africa, as well as other nations, to help out in any way I can. Para el futuro, planeo ir de nuevo a África, así como otras naciones, para ayudar en todo lo que pueda. I feel like hands-on work is where I feel most satisfied. Me siento como trabajo manual es donde me siento más satisfecho. I look forward to going to different places – not only Africa where I have new friends – but all around the world. Espero poder ir a lugares diferentes - no sólo de África, donde tengo amigos nuevos - sino en todo el mundo. It is my goal to spend 50% of my time and life doing what I can to help others. Es mi meta para pasar del 50% de mi tiempo y vida haciendo lo que puedo para ayudar a los demás.
